Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before the work begins.

Start here for practical information about working with HypoSTAT. Project-specific questions are best handled through a short scoping conversation.

Send a short project brief describing the decision, population, geography, timing and anything already prepared. We will identify the relevant lead and clarify the scope before proposing an approach.

Yes. HypoSTAT can deliver a focused work package—such as CAPI programming, device leasing, field-team deployment, transcription, data cleaning or analysis—or manage an integrated study.

Projects may use ODK, KoBoToolbox, SurveyCTO, CSPro or another suitable environment. Platform choice is based on study needs, connectivity, security, existing systems and budget.

Timing depends on the design, approvals, geography, participant access, sample size, instrument readiness and reporting requirements. We provide a staged schedule after scoping rather than promising a generic turnaround.

The controls are matched to the project and may include role-based access, restricted devices, secure transfer, de-identification, documented retention and controlled handover. Specific requirements should be agreed in the contract and data-management plan.

Yes. Many engagements are collaborative. We can take responsibility for defined components while your team retains methodological, programme or subject-matter leadership.

No. The demos are deliberately small browser-based illustrations. They do not fetch social-media data, store uploaded datasets or produce research-grade findings. Product status is shown on each page.

Eligible scholarly papers can be prepared for Google Scholar discovery using a unique abstract page, visible author-written abstract, crawlable PDF and supported citation metadata. Inclusion is decided by Google Scholar and cannot be guaranteed.

Yes. HypoSTAT is based in Nairobi and can support field and analytical work across Kenya and the wider East African region, subject to the assignment and operational plan.

Fees depend on the research design, staff time, sample and locations, travel, devices, languages, software, analysis and outputs. A project brief allows us to prepare a more meaningful estimate.
